Windows 7 & Windows 8 Virus

I have been using XP for the last several months. I won't go into the story of why but I got feed up and brought out my old desktop that runs on XP. It has been working great. It is tax season and I needed files that were on the Windows 7 machine so I brought it back to the desk top.

Got the tax files off of it and then decided I better do a security scan before I put it away. Installed 37 updates and then did the scan which failed.
