Awkward Band Saw

I am not sure if this is the proper place to open this thread or not. Being 83 years old, with both hips replaced and on oxygen 24 hours a day I have a problem. I don't know if other decrepit old @#$%^s have this problem or not. My Band saw is more than I can handle. My wife goes into hysterics when she sees me trying to lift it off the SS or trying to get it back on.
I went to Harbor Freight and bought a "Deer hunter type" block and tackle and proceeded to make me a swinging arm out of a piece of aluminum rectangle stock and a door hinge. Attached it to the shop door header.
Seems to work OK just need to remember to remove it before I open the door
