Oh No. I can't delete it.

This could be bad for me.

So you edit it to say nothing.

Admin: Really, can we no longer delete posts.

We installed an updated version (important to remain current to avoid security problems). Some of our existing styles need fixes because of changes in the updated version. The shopsmith and shopsmith1 styles will be activated after I've made the updates.

The shopsmith style has been reactivated. Hopefully things are back to normal now.

So exactly what are the shopsmith and shopsmith1 styles?

Should I reset my Board Preferences since the update changed them?

Security updates are great but, man, most of us older folks detest so many changes in such a short time.

Forrest

PS I hadn't even really learned how the OLD one worked.

Can some one briefly tell me the differences between shopsmith and shopsmith1?

The main difference is the "shopsmith" puts the author information at the top of the post, while "shopsmith1" puts it in a box at the right edge. Personal preference or typical screen or window size may make one or the other a better choice. Both of these share a visual appearance similar to the rest of the Shopsmith website. The other two choices "prosilver" and "subsilver2" provide a more traditional forum appearance and are, for now, more full-featured.

Yes, board preferences will need to be reset. From this update, I've learned some things that should help avoiding such issues next time.
