I was infuriated the other day when Shopsmith blithely informed me that no, they won't sell me replacements for the bushings and key washers that form part of the ball bearing shaper. They want me to spend another $35 for a whole complete kit in order to replace these service parts.

Aren't these parts standard industrial items? If so, does anyone know where to buy them?

Any leads or other options very much appreciated.

There is an shaper arbor alleged to be Shopsmith on Ebay Shopsmith 1/2" Shaper Spindle Arbor,
The arbor looks wrong but the rub collars and washer would probably work on your arbor.

For the keyed washer this would probably work 1/2" Keyed Washer

Thanks! Just to be clear - I'm not looking for rub collars. I'm looking for the T-bushings. That keyed washer does look very familiar..... We shall see!

Perhaps there are bushings here that would work for you. Shaper Cutter Replacement Parts, Accessories

I have not been able to find any 5/8" ID keyed washers. You need a keyed washer for the arbor if you have a reversible motor. Thanks.
