Totally unrelated thread (Old Candlestick Phone)

I acquired an old candle stick phone in decent shape(both the mouthpiece and ear phone work). I am attempting to refurb it, but am having difficulty taking the mouthpiece housing off the 'stick'. The swivels and has slotted ends on the swivel pivot. These parts are brass and I am reluctent to really torque them(unusual sized slots - typical screwdrivers do not fit tight).

I am hoping someone here is both old enough to remember these things, and also knows the left or right hand thread this thing has.

Wishful hoping, but I gotta at least try!

They look like the type that take gunsmith screwdrivers.....

Out of my set of about 8 of them I can only locate one of them. Got them early in the 1960's when I worked on that sort of thing. Now I'd like to get another set just to have for the few times I need them.

Of course I could be wrong about the screws you have pictured so see what other people have to say.

I think reible is right. Those look like gunsmith slots (my dad was a gunsmith in his younger days). You could just get or buy a new screwdriver and grind it to fit ... I have no idea whether they are right or left thread .... :)

I would believe right hand thread. I only found left hand threads used where a rotating part is being held.
