With a Tung Oil/Poly blend it should be pretty tough, after 5 coats the tung oil becomes water resistant and it might build enough film thickness for protection. Cabinets take a lot of abuse and are usually finished with a very tough finish, Poly, Catalyzed Lacquer, two-part varnish, etc. I personally would probably not use Formby's as it probably doesn't contain any tung oil, but it is a high quality wiping varnish.

One thing to consider is that the tougher the finish is the more difficult it would be to repair.
