I made thiese chairs with plenty of help from my shop smith.100+ year old white oak barn timbers.Believe it or not the SS bandsaw went through as thick as 4" oak resawing ,no problems.

Those are just beautiful, Paul. Love the old wood. The arm chair looks complicated. Really nice but an intimidating build....for me, anyway.
Care to share some build details? Like the jigs/patterns for the really nice shape of the legs. arms and back. And, how you got the seat relieved.

i used a 2 1/2" grinder on the oak seats.i do have the old school scorps for soft wood and hand done pieces but these weren't specific to hand tools only.The patterns were just winging it .i had this picture for basic design and went with that.I did the little turnings on the arm chairs on the 510.The front legs were just drawn using a couple plastic can lids as circles to get the radius for the lower parts.I'm a real technical guy,lol
They were made to go with this antique table that I refinished for her.i thought I had some before pictures of the table but can't seem to find them.

I like your version of the chairs better than the model you used. Better proportions, IMHO, and the cabriole legs look better than the turned ones.

I agree with Al. Your chair legs are nicer than the turned ones. And, your arm to back transition is much better looking, too
