I have been warned that there would be times when living in a retirement community that conditions would get the better of you and I guess that this is one of those times. In the past month my neighborhood has lost 5 of it's residents.
Two nights ago a friend of mine called and told me that he is going to shut down his woodworking activities and wants me to help him evaluate his Shopsmith and all of the attachments so they can be sold. The decision is being made due to his wife's poor health.
I know that one piece is an anniversary edition 520 that he got from Bill Mayo a few years ago.
This is going to be the sort of "help" that I don't relish giving.
I will try to get a list together in a few days but if anyone is interested please send me a PM.

Re: Mixed emotions
Indeed a sad event. But something that all of us have to look forward to. And the process of helping our fellow SS owners move their prized possessions to new owners is certainly one thing that we can do as our part of the hobby. I know that helping in this regard is certainly evident in one of my other hobbies (antique radios). So God bless you for stepping in to help out.
