Does anybody happen to remember around when the last blade/arbor sale took place? Need to get a new blade but would like to wait until the sale.

I believe that the last blade offer was a special on Nov 11, 2014.

That doesn't make it sound like it will be coming back round again any time soon. Nuts.

OK,,,, so I forgot to loosen the tension on my big saw and I thought at first a tire was flat, after more troubleshooting I found my just installed blade had a bevel on the back of it,,, so far I have
(this morning),exploded a bowl on the saw,,, ripped from my hands,,
a four inch piece of soft wood again ripped away from me ,,no damage but,,
then a few hours ago cut off the end of right thumb,, only about a eighth inch or so, no big deal after stopping the bleeding,,,, now finally my question...
Could leaving this saw under tension (1/4" blade) overnight on a Very cold night for Texas,, around freezing, have caused this blade,,, maybe cooling too fast against the hot ceramic (3/4"?) guide that the back of the blade rides against cause this blade to go bad and thump, thump, thump? Wouldn't complain but this was my last new blade,,,

Bevel???
Thump - more likely bent.
Now WHAT caused the grabbing?
Ceramic against the 'back'?
What bandsaw ya using?

Wild guess here, but maybe a Laguna 14-12?

Yikes. Never had any issues with a bandsaw, no matter how freezing (e.g. 15 degrees F), or how many (years) tension was left on.

yeah I heard that. This is a new model saw. The blade guides are ceramic.
The back one glows red at times. I think the tension against the back
insert is what caused the blade to make a positive id. bend from back to
front. The bend is so pronounced that it is almost running with a single
tooth blade. Bad.
oh I didn't answer in the other post thump, thump, thump, is the bent blade
connecting with the wood.
