My latest project

Post by tbirdtim »

I made two of these from plans I found on line. I made them out of the side panels of an old hot tub and planed to 1/4". Not sure what the wood was. They are birthday presents for my sons in law.

I am constantly blown away by the quality of the work done by our members. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice work, Tim!! I appreciate the care you gave these projects to keep all of the dados in line.

By the way - did the units come with all the glasses?

The dados are only 1/16 deep so I made a sled for my router table that I could adjust the stops. The hardest part was the glue up!

Ken, all the wood is from the hot tub sides but have no idea what species it is. The wood was really weathered. It cleaned up nicely when planed. I know it isn't cedar.
