Re: Buying a Used Shopsmith Revisited
So it does ... I missed that and went straight to the back cover as that's where I usually see dates. Perhaps a mistake in original document, or multiple documents were scanned and restored, depending on quality of individual original pages. Front cover also indicates it was printed 2/66, so let's just agree on the 1960's and let Everett bask in his accomplishment

Re: Buying a Used Shopsmith Revisited
Yes Everett included pages from more than one source(rightly so).
The 'original 1963 manual did not include the speed chart, but the parts manual did(my copy is indeed 1965, but Everett had a different copy).
I agree, regardless a great thing has been accomplished!!!!
Ya I was being just plain nit-pickey(same as when proofing it )

That is why there is nothing wrong with nit-picking in a constructive way.JPG wrote:Yes Everett included pages from more than one source(rightly so).

I guess it sort of depends on "who is doing the nit-picking".jsburger wrote:That is why there is nothing wrong with nit-picking in a constructive way.JPG wrote:Yes Everett included pages from more than one source(rightly so).

I'd say it depends upon 'who' is judgemental.

Speaking of picking nits, it's spelled "judgmental."JPG wrote:I'd say it depends upon 'who' is judgemental.

As an attorney ye no doubt are aware that the nits are what makes thy profession 'interesting'.(aka fine print)

By your link I am not sure that is totally true.dusty wrote:Whatever it is, it is not meant to be complimentary: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/nitpickJPG wrote:algale wrote:

" 2. to criticize by focusing on minute details."
Minute details make a lot of difference in many endeavors and can be complimentary.
