I went to Lowes today . I met a man named Billy Marten (shopsmith Demo)
what a nice guy. very good demo. He told me he is going to retire in a month or so. that will be a big loss for shopsmith. The DYI upgrade is
on its way to the house

Yeah Billy really is a pretty nice guy. Really knows his SS and is VERY entertaining. He really put's that PP through it's paces.

Yes, a big loss indeed. I see you drove some 80+? miles to the demo there in Federal Way,Washington, but not as far as Billy did!!!!!! He told me he lives in Locust Grove, GA (just south of Atlanta)

yes I did drive 80 miles to federal way. there is a lowes 20 miles south of here, but they told me they don't deal in shopsmith brand. I was standing
next to the shopsmith sand paper at the time. are you happy with
your do it yourself upgrade? was it easy to install? how long did it take to get it? I sound like a pup with a new toy .

I know the feeling!!! The mothership may call and/or email tracking info, FedEx. Took about a week to get mine. I have watched the video which pretty much walks you through the whole process. There is a written manual as well. I haven't got around to doing the change out yet, but bought the DIY kit from Billy when he did the Demo here in Marietta, Ga. I need to clear out more space in my garage, ie need to get rid of and old car or 2. Maybe in the next month as the weather gets better and WARMER!!!
