I'm wondering if my headstock has been upgrade to the two bearing quill by a previous owner. What are the clues to look for?

By looking from the 'top' down into the interior of the quill one will see either a spacer or the second bearing. Telling the difference may not be easy.
I will determine later if there is a difference in the distance from the top end of the quill to the bearing/spacer.

If the quill body and the output shaft are NOT black oxide, it is NOT a double bearing quill.(Greenie version is not black oxide)
The second bearing is about 4.3" in from the top end of the quill body.
The single bearing 'washer' is about 2.3" in from the top of the quill body.
There are different versions of the two bearing quill which may vary.
