Any thoughts on this unit?
It appears to be in great shape.
Just today, I bought a non SS planer.
But I could not pass this deal up.
It is a new/old stock Delta 12 inch planer.
$200 smackers!

I gave my Delta dust collector to our woodworking group when I acquired a DC3300. The DC3300 is definitely quieter than the Delta and I find the dust collection ability to be just about equal.
I have the midsize hood on mine. If the plastic bags on yours are the original SS bags and they are a couple of years old I would hesitate using them. The ones I got with mine must have been dried out and would tear at the drop of a hat. I am using 32 gallon black trash bags and they do a good job. The drawback to them is that you can't see how much is in them but I find that that is a minimal problem.

Make sure at least 1 hose is supplied with the plastic ends on both ends. If it comes with the accessories kit

They are good units as far as I can tell.

Yeah. For sure. I new DC3300 costs about $500 and the accessories price out at about 1/5th of that total.

Now that you are an owner of the DC3300, I recommend that you give serious consideration to acquiring the taller filter hood.

One of these will greatly improve dust collection efficiency.

Dusty, when the 42" hood and its support rod is fully extended, what is the overall height of the unit. I have a maximum ceiling height of 80 inches in my garage.
Please advise.

My rod is about 86" off the floor. I thought I'd answer for Dusty to keep him out of the shop and be in GOOD graces with the SWMBO.

Oops. I blew that. No, not really. I did not go to the shop. Just to the office where my computer is located.
Beeg answered your question but this might help make the decision too.

Oops, my memory did not serve me to well. My garage finished ceiling height is 88 inches tall and not 80 inches. So, the taller hood will just fit!
