My Mark V has been stored for the winter; when turning it on for the first time this spring; the first two attempts nothing happened; the third time it came on.
Question: Is this indicate a problem that will require repair?

You may need a new switch or to switch the wires around on the back. Did ya oil it after taking it out of storage?

It may be that the switch contacts were dirty or oxidized and were wiped clean when you tried to start the machine. They may still be a problem and if they are the first order of business would be to replace the switch.
