Hi,

I do not see it on the website of American Vermont.
Is that jig a good enough one ?
Used it is worth 50$ ?
I would be buying from someone in my area.
Thanks for you input.

My take, it probably depends if it comes with the bushings and bits? If not and you don't have them, you probably need to purchase them and that would increase the total cost a bit.

I have the Rockler jig and it has a similar setup. I'm not fimilar with this particular jig, but good things to know, are replacement templates or new templates available? Is dust collection important to you? I don't know if this template has it, but Rockler and Leigh offer it.

Thanks for you answer, I checked the other brand, but I will take this one to experiment with and then I will see if I need something else.
Thank you letterk

That jig looks very much like the craftsman jig I have. The knobs are a different color but that is about the only difference I can see.

Model 171.25450 vintage about 1996 or so.

I hope you were able to get the manual as this is a bit of a challenge to setup. They also made a box joint template set for it. 171.255500

Yes I have the manual and two templates, half blind and flush.
I will get it tomorrow and will let you know how it goes.

I have checked Sears in Canada.
They do not carry much as far as jigs and woodworking tools.
Thanks Ed for your input.
