Eagle project

Just finished my eagle. A friend gave me a barrel of basswood cuttings from shutters. The white wood seemed perfect for this picture. Followed the sawdust session to take the wood down to 1/2 inch. Used my scroll saw to cut the pieces. The SS then switched to a drill press for sanding and buffing. The feathering was completed with a dremmel.

Nice job Gary!

Intarsia is another of the WW skills that I would like to try but don't have the confidence. As with turning, some really nice work is produced in that field.

Great work Gary. I have always admired the Eagle. One of my greatest thrills was standing on Condo Deck overlooking the pacific ocean near Ketchican Alaska and watching an Eagle pluck a live salmon from the water below my feet. Your fine artwork brings that picture back to life for me, Congratulations. Jim
