Today in the shop (dust collection hose)

Nothing very deep or profound in this post but I wanted to point out something that I had not thought about before and perhaps you have not either.
I don't recall exactly but in the last few years they have come out with the dust collector hoses that expand out, will keep a bend and in general stay in place better then the old hoses. At least one place calls them flexform but that may or may not be an official name.
To shorten the story they are very handy to have around and if you don't have one you should.
Today I had some bandsawing to do. I grabbed my hose and attached it just like I always do. Now I have done my own dust port so maybe that is why the hose comes out at such an angle? Anyway here is a picture which should help you see what I'm talking about.
The hose in its normal lay gets in the way, of course it will flex in like this:
Then I though about the "other" hose. This is the one I'm talking about:
Tighter fit, no extra hose laying around, just about perfect.
BTW some of you might be wondering why the band saw is mounted on this side of the machine. Simple, since I have the powerpro that runs in reverse you can mount the saw on either end. For me this is easier then having to take the machine out on the driveway etc etc... Another reason to have a powerpro.
Back to the hose thing, I really do think everyone should have one of these. I'll post more uses when I can but if you have a new found one feel free to post it to this thread.
