Hi Folks,
Does anyone have any remarks or comments on using a Jig Saw attachment on the 10ER?
I've had one for years and never used it. Now, I would like to try it out and looking for any advice before I do...
Thank you,
Mike

I have used mine a fair amount. See the seventh post in this thread.
10ER Jig Saw, Does it do a good job.
If you don't have a manual you can download one from Vintage Machinery.
Shopsmith Jigsaw Owners Guide
I would clean and oil the jigsaw before use.
I get better results, (less breakage and cleaner cuts), when using better quality blades. The ones I like using are the Olson PGT (Precision Ground Teeth) scroll saw blades.
If you have any specific questions please ask.

Thanks Ron! I have sanded and repainted the Jig Saw. Oiled where I'm suppose to and hope to test it out soon... As for blades, I'm a firm believer in using the best. I run nothing but Bosch in my handheld Dewalt jig saw.
I run Olsons in my metal cutting band saw and very pleased with the blades. I use to use Super Cut but they are more expensive and don't seem to last as long as the Olsons...
Where do I look to purchase the 10ER Olson blades???
Thanks,
Mike

Standard unpinned scroll saw blades work fine in the 10er jig saw.
Wherever you are getting jigsaw blades for your dewalt jigsaw probably has them.
I get mine from
Lee Valley, they have a store just down the road from me

.
Rockler has them too, and I am sure many other places as well.
