Okay,on another thread there is a PP on eBay and there seems to be commitment from SS to honor the warrantee from the invoice date. The trick is that date is illusive. Manufacture date given would suggest that in the worst case the warrantee is about half ie: two and a half years.
Finally my question:Those of you who have Power Pro upgrades and have had "issues" with them, did those issues arise quickly and get resolved or were they cropping up more than a couple of years in? Mfg. date is given as June 10, 2013.
This will affect the perceived value to me. Thanks for any light any of you can shed on this.

When was that? Before or after the 'announcement'?

Any issue I've had were there at first get go - like
reible. Some issues are not a big deal until a specific job is required. My issue was with bandsawing. Sent it back twice for re-builds, but waited several years before doing so.
One issue was a slightly off center motor pulley. Another that did not require a re-build was the control unit came loose. Got a new unit and sent the old one back to them.

Thanks guys. I think I may be getting conservative in my old age but I've decided to pass. I just don't need the grief. If it's worth the money to me I'll buy it from SS. ....... and I guess I've decided it is, not really for what it can do as much as for the way it does it. It is just nice to work with really nice stuff when you can. ...... know what I mean?
