My Memorial Day Project

So Memorial Day at noon I decided to buy some cedar on a whim and 11 hours later here is the result... And that was with time to play with the kids. My 4 year old was even "helping" me with the planer. Now for the chore... fill in screw holes (I despise mixing metal with wood but its a lot more time intensive, next time its all joinery), sand, and put a clear deck protectant on it.

This makes project #3 so far.
1. Under the Shopsmith Storage Cabinet
2. Over the Shopsmith tool storage shelf
3. This patio furniture to make the wife happy.

That is pretty slick! The screws will make it easier to tighten up when weathered in a few years. Looks good!

Nicely done(even with the screws).

Good looking pair of seats. And, there's not a darned thing wrong with a few good screws.
For outdoor use, I dip the screws in CA and dribble a bit of CA on the heads. Seems to help with the rust.
