How well do you think would the Shopsmith scroll saw cover fit on a Dewalt scroll saw?

How close are they to the same size?

I don't know. I have never seen a Shopsmith Scrollsaw except on the website.

Why are you wanting to hide/disguise the Dewalt? :D

I'll see if I can be of assistance. A photo with a ruler in place may help you.

It'll be a while as I am not near the shop right now.

JPG,
I don't to hide it, I just want to protect it. I cover all of my equipment when not in use.

"How well" depends on your purpose. It keeps the dust off just fine. If you're concerned about looks (i.e., a tight fit which looks like the dust cover was specifically made for that saw), not perfect, since the table shapes are different.

(I would have bought a Dewalt dust cover, except I don't think Dewalt makes one.)

If and when I use a cover it is simply an old white bed sheet(twin size). I do have one shopsmith dust cover for the strip sander but when I used it the other tools got jealous. I didn't want that happening so it is no longer in use, actually it just taking up space....

The shopsmith cover is more of a cosmetic thing as far as I'm concerned but everyone has their own look they like. I guess it would look pretty impressive if I had shopsmith covers for all of there tools that I own but I'm more apt to spend the money on new tools or attachments.

BTW the bed sheets are pretty much a universal fit.

I like that. :) :) :)

My wife has given me a number of old bed sheets for covers but I am not very good at using them.
I do like to cover my leather sewing / stitching machines as they are far more likely to have problems from dust than most woodworking machines.
I want to make some covers for several machines including the Shopsmiths but I want to make them out of clear vinyl and make them fit pretty well. Like a lot of things in my life they are not a real high priority but if I get some time then... :)

Dusty-
The scroll saw measures 33 inches long while the table is 16 inches wide.
