Has anyone seen this new product? It is called saw Satch and it is rubber strip with bristles attached. You put it on anything to contain dust.
Check it out at.

Little expensive $9-10 a foot but to seal all those air leaks in a Shopsmith shouldn't require to much. There is a video on the site be sure to check it out.

Interesting, Ed!
Looked at the videos and really can't say I was sold. These brushes would most likely work on a Shopsmith, but just can't justify mounting with pop rivets. Also seems that changes in table height would change the fitting of the bristles. Then I would have to buy a hair blower.
Who says I'm an old grouch?
The Shopsmith shaper/router shield has bristles. They don't work very well because of height changes.

Seems like an awful lot of work, just to get rid of some sawdust. Guess these guys really hate sawdust!!!!
Side note: Tickled me that they show brushes added to a Festool saw! I have been told that Festools don't produce any dust. At that price - they shouldn't need sawdust brushes. Also The guy showed how effective the brushes are by cutting 1/4" pieces.

I could see mounting this to the lower saw guard and/or tie bar to reduce dust escaping.

That is what I was thinking. I know Dusty was engineering fixes for the dust escape and the minute I saw this I thought of his efforts and how this might be the answer.

Finding a convenient way to attach the brushes would be the trick.
