I was in Lowes today to pick up a few 3 X 21 sanding belts and what did I find? Those belts and more!

I wonder if this is a case of brand licensing? Gator sandpaper, which you can see stock next to the Shopsmith Brand is the manufacturer of Shopsmith sandpaper.

I believe you are correct. If you look at the SS web page http://shopsmithabrasives.com and the Gator web page http://gatorfinishing.com/, they are virtually the same and have links to each other. Also both sites have the same copyright info, Ali Industries Inc.
The Gator sight does have a more extensive product line than Shopsmith.
