I rescued an old Magna #R5 140 had been sitting in an old leaky shed for about 12 yrs. brought it home shined her up and now I'm trying to put her back together. Parts are missing, the live center and drive center and the stop collars(I think)for the lathe assembly. I'm not sure what it came with originally so I may not have as many "missing" parts as I think I have.
Can anyone inform me?

A picture would be most helpful.

However a spur center and a tailstock dead center were included and are the same for all models.

Stop collar makes sense if you are referring to a tool rest mounting post.

Not sure what you meant by drive center unless you were referring to a spur center.

thanks for the help. I'm just learning about these things, if the Spur center attaches to the drive shaft of the motor, then yes that's what I meant by drive center. The tailstock dead center must be the non power end of the lathe? If that's the case then there must be bearings involved, right? If not bearings then how does it work?
You were right on with the tool rest mounting post collar.

A 'dead' center has no bearings(it does not rotate). The workpiece rotates on the center. Minimal friction is involved as long as minimal pressure is against the center.

A 'live' center does rotate with the workpiece and has bearings.

Use a little bit of wax in the cup, to cut down on the burning.
