craftsman planer blades

I have a craftsman 6.5 jointer model #351.21728 which appears to have been made in the late 90's. Sears no longer sells the blades; however, I noticed that the pictures online show the blades look identical to that of grizzly, delta, and porter cable. I am not sure if the online pictures are correct; however, the pictures of the jointers are very similar as well. I know craftsman many times has other companies make their product. Anyone know if the blades are interchangeable as mine definitely need replacing.

There might well be a replacement blade available if you knew the size of the old blades and if they are a standard hole pattern(if they have holes).

It is also possible that sears has changed the part number, I've had that happen as well. I assume you have been to there parts web site and looked for a substitute.

A lot of companies only care things for 10 or 11 years and then you are on your own. Even shopsmith doesn't carry all the parts for tools they have made but we are luckier then most in that they do have a lot of parts and upgrades in other cases.
