I just got back into WW and had trouble tightening my table (like in the up position for drilling. Keeps sliding down. I have oiled the threaded rod, but to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks

Look on the far side of the rod. There is a 1/2" (?) nut that must be adjusted from time to time to account for too loose/too tight on that table lock. I just had the very same problem using mine in the drill press mode.

I looked to see about the nut and could not see it. I will try to look at parts list for table and try again.

Assuming you have a Mark V 510:

I think you will find what is being discussed here on page B-11. The part that is being referenced (the nut) is item #217.

The references in red are incorrect.

If this isn't it and you can't find what you are looking for, bring the problem back here. We'll have you making sawdust soon.

PS: Ed is correct - this is NOT what you were referring to at all. Sorry for any confusion I have caused.

The correct reference is item #177 on page B-9. Thanks Ed.

I think 217 is the nut on the fence. I think what you meant to say was item#177 that locks the carriage to the way tube if I understand the problem right.
