Entertainment Center and "more"

Oh, my! It was in 2007 or there abouts when I made an entertainment center for my Son and Daughter in law. Didn't take any photos of it at all and now regret it. Yesterday we met up with our new Great Grandaughter at Son's house and had the thought (finally) to snap a pic or two.

Great job! And congrats!
Nice to see your Entertainment Center still looks "in sync" with modern flatscreen TV's.

I like the 'sectional' approach.
Curious about the top though.
I assume it is not attached.

The top is not attached, but it keeps the towers from moving. It was designed with a hanging shelf under the middle. (guess they call it a bridge) Son didn't want it.

I have something similar that I purchased for my old rear projection tv. Of course it didn't have the center console. Yours is better since it's homemade.

It probably would provide a shelf for the center(?) speakers that are currently on the floor.

I know!!! Tried to talk him into the shelf, but dealing with engineers is sometimes a "brick wall".
He has speakers on top of the towers, on the floor outside the towers and also at the other side of the room (elevated), behind where he (and family) sits.
I think they call it surround sound.
