Where is Nick Engler these days?

He has been prolific in print and video but I haven't seen anything from him that is much newer than about 7 years old. Is he still affiliated with SS? Google was not instructive.

I do not believe he has any affiliation with Shopsmith these days. Shopsmith (or Nick) would be the ones who could answer that question best. At my last contact with him, he was still very busy with the Wright Patterson projects. Even when he was with Shopsmith, the airplanes and the projects with young people interested in the air planes captured his attention first.

I would guess that his latest activities are detailed here.

Really glad that I clicked on Dusty's link post. There have been some significant changes to the WBAC site. Lots of new stuff. A few years ago we were on vacation in the Outer Banks and we stopped at the Wright Brothers visitor center with our friends. After touring the sight we sat to watch the video and I said to a friend that I met a guy that ran a company called the Wright Brothers Aeroplane Company and with that comment Nick appeared on the screen. That is the last time I have "seen" him.

I visited with Nick by email briefly a few days ago about a private topic and he is very busy.

I will email him about this recent inquiry here and see if he has time to check in, and catch us up on what's going on today.

In the interim, earlier this year Nick did a telephone interview with The Fringe Radio Show that some might like to listen to.

It is available on YouTube as an audio presentation.

The Fringe Radio Show April 4th 2015. Guest "Nick Engler" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGsZeLQyWLM

It talks about how in 1997 he founded the The Wright Brothers Aeroplane Company as an educational foundation and what he has been involved in.

If you are a Nick Engler fan, it's worth listening to.
