G'day all. After searching for quite some time and missing out on several Mark V machines in the past, I finally managed to snag one . S/N SS10029

The listing on ebay said there was additional attachments to what was in the photos. When I went to pick it up there was also a jigsaw which is in pieces. I have started to put the jigsaw back together but it seems like there is a couple parts missing. Is there a link somewhere to the manual/parts list so I can figure out what I'm missing? S/N 36298

There is a jointer also, which on first impression looks to be unused as there is no marks on the table, blades or cutter head. There is still the plastic film on the blade guard. The power coupler is missing tho. Has anyone made their own (even as a temporary one) or would I best ordering one from an ebay seller or direct from shopsmith?

I have only checked there is no damage to the power cable and powered it up for a few seconds to make sure the motor runs. What would be the first thing I could check or oil prior to its first use?

Thank you for the PM, much appreciated. I have identified the missing bolt. It is the locking bolt that secures the round frame of the jigsaw to the base. Part 52 - 55 in the exploded diagram.

Is this part still available?

I doubt it from the mother ship, but maybe Bill Mayo. However he is likely not able to help for a while.

They are essentially a small version of the way tube locks. Making a set might be fairly simple.

I bid on some on eBay but the final price was pretty high. I ended up buying them new from Shopsmith. They shipped them right away and the price was pretty close to the eBay price.

You will need a set of hubs, one for the Mark Vshaft and another for the accessory. The coupler slips over these hubs.

Edit: I see one of the hubs (rusty) on the headstock shaft in your photo above.

I see two hubs. Each is mounted where the other belongs!!!

I sent a request to Shopsmith on Monday this week to enquire about shipping costs to Australia for the power coupler but haven't had a response from them.

I think they ship within the USA only.
