A couple years ago I asked about burls in trees but I never went and cu one out due to deep snow. Last fall I had a cherry tree go down and I cut it for firewood. It had a burl in it which I saved. This burl is appox 2 foot across. Question is how do I saw it and what to use the wood for. I took one of the high spots off on it and it is beautiful on the inside. This is one of the smaller ones that are in that area. Any ideas Thanks Ivan

I have so much cherry wood sawed that it is coming out my ears. I have one big cherry that is a veneer log and I got some big bucks for that one tree. I have about 30 acres that will be cut off this winter much of it is going for saw logs. I have one area that is smaller cheery that will not be cut and this area as appox 40 or more of these burls n it. There are some a popular trees that I am going to check out also

Just kidding, one man's trash is another man's treasure. ( I know you don't think it's trash but closest saying I could come up with.)
