Recently purchase a greenie. Looks good inside and clean on speed control and belts do not look bad. Problem is when going past the fast indicator about 3/4 of and inch I hear a clicking sound. I can't seem to see what is happening. Anyone have any idea on what the noise is?
Also are all shop smith tools compatible with a greenie? I know they are 3/4 hp. Can the 1 1/8 motor be put into them easily?
Thanks.

Your control sheave is 'impacting' the innards of the speed control. You need to perform a high speed stop adjustment(it should stop at 'fast').
All SPTs are compatible(those that mount in the SPT mounts).
Replacing with a 1 1/8 HP motor is a trivial task. Question is, is it really necessary?
One Caveat: That is a 9" saw, not a 10". 10" blades can be used, but be watchful of any interferences, especially when tilting the table.
