Where/How does one manually define file name extension(type) associations?

I don't know how much W10 changed but in W7 it is under Control Panel-Programs-Default Programs-Set Associations.

Well it would be nice if that was mentioned rather than just uninstall a program(aka APP).

So are yoy saying it is not there in W10?

Oh it IS there, just no clue of that on the main screen of Control Panel.

BTW THANK YOU!!!

Try changing the category upper right hand corner to small icons. Then click on "DEFAULT PROGRAMS" then "associate files". BUTT that's coming from win8.1

. . . Much more than just 'uninstall'!!!
