What is my 1955 Mark 5 worth?

I have a 1955 (serial number 301817) with table saw and mitre gauge, tail stock holder and parts, lathe tool rest, all original papers, manual and hardcover book.
Machine has no wear, damage or dings. Paint on the aluminum parts of stand are flaking but no electrolysis or corrosion.

It runs smooth and quiet.
What's it worth?

The best advice that I can give is to go to E-Bay and search for Shopsmith. Go to "Highest Price" listings and see what the machines are going for in your area. They command different prices in different areas of the country. You could also check Craigs list for machines in your area.

That is great advice. Location means a lot for used Shopsmith prices. Around here, they sell for a premium price compared to the ones being sold in the sun belt.

While I am not an expert on Shopsmith prices I do follow Craigslist and Ebay regularly. Be aware that what the prices that are being asked don't always reflect the value or what you can actually get for the unit. Also there is a difference in the price if you want it gone now or are willing to keep it around for however long it takes to get your price.

Location, Location, Location.

Condition, Condition, Condition.

Extras, Extras, Extras.

It is worth what someone else is willing to pay.

The market is essentially flat(buyers advantage).

Most noob's have never heard of one let alone understand what they are/can do.

GOOD LUCK! :)
