My 2x4 Challenge (in progress)

So out of pure curiosity and fun, i decided to try out the 2x4 challenge and see what I could build with a single 2x4 and some glue.
So I picked up a $1.99 2x4x96" stud and joined, planed, and ripped it square. Then decided I HAD to try out the new bandsaw table I upgraded to with the fence, cut it into two 4' sections and re-sawed about 1/8" strips and then trimmed em to length. My current vision is needing some dimensional stability so I had to make my own plywood, and here is what I have so far. (btw, these 2x4s have so many knots in it that it drives me nuts.)
So far I have run into two interesting side notes:
1) There is something ohhh so satisfying about hand planing. I haven't really done it much to this point. In fact, I recently restored this hand plane from a recent purchase where i got a 5 gallon bucket of hand planes for $20. It was an interesting way to buy them, but a lot of love and I have 4 back to usable state, just need some paint on the handles. And got another 6 or so still waiting in the bucket if I ever get ambitious again. But the point is, I love my pro planer, but for pure pride in work, nothing feels better a good hand plane.
2) Second side note: You know you must be parenting right when your 2 year old son helps in the garage, and your 4 year old daughter asks for her own tape measure for her birthday later this month (because she steals yours to measure EVERYTHING, and now wants her own).
