Do I have any other options besides buying the Eccentric Mounting Tubes? To keep bandsaw on while going in drill press mode.

Tilt the band saw table as far as possible. This will just barely give you clearance to go vertical.

I always take the band saw off and store it. Of course when you have a Mark 7 you have no choice. But then you get the option of using the band saw on either end, just remember to switch to reverse first when on the opposite end.

Steve, dont you know, we are in the choir together!!!!!

Lover, Burger, the Model 10 is just about the best Drill-press,
as well as the best Lathe, in the whole Shopsmith lineup.

Of course, I could be wrong, that is just my opinion.

Reviews on this forum complain that the bandsaw wobbles a bit when using these tubes.

I really don't understand what the wobble would hurt.

I use these for what I believe you are trying to do.
