I have a project that I think could be greatly help with this sort of clamp but since I don't own them I'm not sure just how well they work.
Sale ends soon so any help one way or the other would be great.

No I don't but I have purchased other tools from them and the quality was excellent. If I am reading that right even on sale they are pretty pricey. You could make your own for very little. The concept is great and would not be hard to make.

Ed, I bought a pair of these a few years ago for making drawer boxes. They just didn't work out for me. Maybe you'll have better luck. You could have mine for a twenty dollar bill plus shipping. Or maybe you'd like to swap something? I'd could use a wooden mallet, or carving knives. Or what have you. Even a 500 trunnion, table and fence

Hi Ed,
I had a set of eight that I finally sold in a garage sale. Like Tom, I didn't think they were that great. Way too finicky for me, especially for the cost. After I had sold them, I figured I could have tried some sandpaper glued along the edges to help hold the pieces.
A friend has their X-mat system but has frustrations using it for tall pieces.
I now use a brace in each corner that is supposed to be for concrete forms. Heavy gauge steel and very precise 90. They work great if you have the space inside the box. Can't exactly remember the name but Strong something or other. About $6 each at HD. Then i just use clamps to hold them to the walls of the box/cabinet/drawer.
Anyway, just my opinion.
Be well,
Ben

I have 4 of them and have used them a few times but they are a lot of trouble to get set. Once set they work though. I wouldn't buy them again but they were useful enough the couple of times I used them to not sell them.

I got a similar set up from Rockler (
http://www.rockler.com/search/go?w=corner%20clamp). They are basically plastic 90 deg. piece that you use your own clamp with. Works great for me as I generally don't have a helper around to hold stuff.
Rockler also shows an all in one clamp on the same page but I haven't used it.

From what I understand there was a previous version of these clamps so now I'm wondering for those that have these, are they the older version or the newer version?
In the past I did a plywood block with a "+" in it that was of some help but not as much as I hoped. There is another block which I don't have pictured that I used double sided tape on to tighten the joints but in general they look like this:

I also have some plastic right angle things from Rockler which I don't love due to flexing and other issues. They look like this:

I also have some really nice angles but you still have to have an extra hand to be holding and clamping these in place. Yes they work but I was hoping for something better. They look like this:

Then there are these from Rockler, and they are new so I didn't ask if anyone had them...... That is another option I'm thinking about. You can see them here:

Decisions decisions who will get my money and how happy will I be with which ever one I pick.

I didn't mention but I also have the Bessy corner clamp and a knock-off of similar style and function. See here:

I have 4 of these:

I bought them at Menards. They are currently on sale there for $6.39 for a pair. They will hold a corner together for assembly, but don't expect the spring to make a rigid setup. For the price, though, they might be worth trying.
