Well, this is actually my second one. The first shattered into half a dozen parts on a catch. Goblets were the subject at the last wood turners club meeting so here is my first finished goblet. So....

When I saw the first pic I thought a big thing, then in your hand, OMG, I am not a turner but can appreciate it

It's finished with a friction polish so I don't think it would hold up to too much. I'm planning to a few more this weekend so I'll put some more photos up when I finish them. These are fun, but this 1st one took me way more time than I thought it would. I was being extra cautious not to blow up another one.

Impressive Paul, especially considering the grain orientation! I think I would have had ALOT of catches (followed by side disintegrating) trying hollow that!!
I too like the details!
