Yup, one just got broke. Can I use other brands or have to buy from Shopsmith thank?

Take a good one off, go to a good hardware store. Find a match.

It doesn't hurt to look at the hardware store. I did that some years back and did not find a match. The problem is that you need the machine to set on the floor when the casters are raised and then step up to move it. If you get one too big or too small things might not work right. If you do find something that will work you might as well get 4 of them and do them all.

I ended up ordering from shopsmith, at the time they were quite cheap but then the postage always bites you. I'm sure they have raised the price since I last got some but you can also check that amount for a reference.

The other option is the new caster set. They now have a template that is working and keep in mind if you have an older machine you might have to move the levers as the new casters interfere with them. They are expensive.

The other option is ebay. I have seen sets there, possibly from those who have upgraded. I saved mine set because I have several other machines that have that type and they are spares.

What is broken? If it needs just a wheel those are readily available.

Only the plastic wheel is broken, the metal workings are just fine. I am too. Great info and thanks, it's nice to receive help when one reaches out for it. I'll figure this out and I'll let you know how it comes together. Like the ford barn, good guys here.

So if anyone might care. I picked up a caster from the local hardware store. $6
Cut the pin on the Shopsmith caster, used the new bolt and lock nut from the new caster. Few minutes and a few dollars, done. Thinking of opening a caster repair shop now. See ya soon
