Shopsmith caster bracket

I own several shopsmiths and all have the Shopsmith casters. I have adapted most to the newer 3" casters. While I love the ease of movement, I have broken several of the brackets. seems the larger wheels make the small wings holding the caster plug(???) break. Was wondering if anyone else has this problem and are there any solutions for a stronger bracket than to just buy more on Ebay and replace? Looking for a different design that still uses the 3" casters and preferably uses the foot activated up/down.

I only have one machine with the larger casters. So far I have not had anything fail. I use my machine in the driveway so I have built two ramps for getting it across the threshold of the garage door and driveway. I had to change the length/angle due to the new casters but that no doubt takes some of the load off things. I then have to pull/drag it over very ruff blacktop to position it. It is a pretty hard move and the new wheels don't make it much easier. I can't imagine it getting much worst on things then what I have.
So how are you damaging yours?
Photos of the damage please.
I'm wondering if I've just been lucky or if you haven't.

I have not had your experience but if I did (and I recommend you do the same) I would contact Shopsmith to see what they say.

Have a photo showing the problem?
