I was just looking at a calendar from last February and noticed that I had gone to a shopsmith demo near by. I hadn't received any notices about one coming and so I checked the site

and there seems to be very few happening and all in the areas far from me.

I have looked there before and this seems to be one of the shorter lists I've seen. Wondering if any one knows what is going on or wants to speculate.

I think part of the reason is Mike Young is doing the seminars/academy. I know that he lives in Oregon and covers the majority of the demos. I found in the past that there were only occasional ones in multiple towns on the same day, leading me to believe that there were not that many doing the demos. When I talked to him last year it sounded like the seminars would be integrated into his demo schedule but it does not appear to be the case. The seminars have been scheduled further apart than at first, hope that he and his family are doing fine. The seminar website appears to have changed owners from Mike Young Enterprises to MS as well.

I don't post that often but this weekend I went to LOWES to see a Demo and Spent a couple Grand. Well the LOWES that was listed on the site didn't have a demo. Logged on to shopsmith site to verify the location using my Smart phone and showed it to the LOWES manager. He said he was sorry but no demo at that location..... I waited two years for them to return to San Antonio and it was a bust...

Feb 22,2016 San Antonio, TX
Mar 7, 2016 Dallas, TX
Mar 28, 2016 Denver, CO

This appears to be the Monday after a demo in the same area. May be the demo list is short to allow planning of where the next seminars are going to be?

Interesting! However apparently San Antonio was a no-show last week end.(back up three posts)

That just raises more questions. Who, when and why the demo was canceled and was the seminar canceled as well? I just compared the two schedule dates and locations to see if there was a correlation between them that may explain why there are so few demos scheduled.

There was a demo this last weekend at Lowes 11718 i.h. 35 North
San Antonio, TX 78233. Just to be sure, I pulled the orders taken this past weekend. Perhaps the LOWES manager was confused???
