Well after owning this machine for over 30 years it was bound to happen. Last weekend I was using it in shaper mode when near the end of the project I noticed it just did not sound right. I removed the end cover and found the V belt was needing replacement :eek: so a quick to the keyboard and an order to the MS for BOTH belts was done. The parts come in today and about 1 hour later all is well again :cool:

The MS is on top of things and appreciates us. You could have gotten them from many other suppliers. I for one appreciates her. ;) I just placed an order from her today.

Yep, Mom (Mothership, or MS) is NICE!

I've gotten quite a few parts from her,
even for my Model 10s.

Mom doesn't know her parts fit my
ANTIQUE machines, but I do! Thanks,
MOM!

(Lover, you ever see The Blues Brothers?
Remember what that guy said, when they
landed in the drink? Don't you say a ****in'
word!) :D

MS=Mother Ship (Shopsmith)

You can shop around and never find belts that fit and work like the Shopsmith replacements they have made up specially. Or, you can simply order directly from Shopsmith.
I have a new spare belt in my Shopsmith parts just waiting to be used.

I'm in the process of waxing and lubing this weekend. At what point do the belts need replacing if there not frayed?
