Wife wanted a kitchen table for the new house. She was looking at Pottery Barn. I said I could make the table she was looking at for half the price or less. Well here it is

DITTO rubenjames, and by the way PB is over priced and not that kind of quality. What wood is that? I took a second better look, White Oak?
I like the design, but I am partial to that. Just not a bench fan, too old for a bench and climbing in and out unless on the end, okay for kids.

I have made most of my furniture and use cherry, walnut and quarter sawn white oak, when all said and done about 25-30% of the same thing bought.
Clint Eastwood, "So did I fire 5 times or 6, well in all the confusion I lost tract, well punk, do ya feel lucky? Perp, I gots ta know. Click". Clint Eastwood, in Dirty Harry.
So I gots ta know, what did it cost to make, and what was PB price with shipping?

Thanks for the compliments.

Yes, quarter swan white oak.

Cost about $600.00 for just the table, PB was I think $1,850.00 plus $150.00 shipping. These prices do not include the bench. PB's was pine. J

Al,

I think I was working on this when you came to pick up the table saw sled. After we moved it sat in the kitchen unfinished until recently. I got involved in a bunch of new house honey dew lists; but was finally able to get back to it.

Jack,

I was probably too busy ogling all your tools to notice! I still like the Incra 5000 sled. It is a beast but accurate as heck!
