There is a guy in my state that is getting rid of his ER refurbish project. He has a speed changer he is willing to to give to me for free. The problem is that its broken. He says Both Vertical pieces between the Pulley and the round bar.

I don't know anything about the speed changer to know if its worth him shipping it to me. Can anyone help me please!

Thanks,
Brian Miller

I think it is 'worth it'. At the very least you have spare parts. Unfortunately those broken ears are the most common breakage.

They can be welded(many have done so), but the skill of the welder comes into play(they are aluminum).

Breakage can be eliminated by not FORCING the adjustment.(jmho)

Grab it!!!

If it's just the ears which are broken, They can be welded back on. Just take it to a professional welder who does aluminum.

As JPG stated, It can also be used for spare parts....
