Well I finally finished my brownie.It came out pretty nice.The motor runs great after I rewired it.Thanks to JPG for all his help with that.Repainted with original colors, polished way tubes and bench tubes, reworked the casters, bought a few extras from ebay, jacobs chuck, four jaw adjustable lathe chuck, live center.I, ll try and post some pics.

Brownie huh. What did you paint it with? I agree the original color was actually brown, but gold seems to be what is closest to original. Hence the two names(Brownie/Goldie).

Regardless, good to have saved another one.


BTW the bench tubes were originally painted silver.

We eagerly await the pix(both here and in the restoration thread).

It really looks nice!!!!

The ss colors are indeed close to the original. Only the texture(hammered look) is not there. Originally that look was not as pronounced as the rustoleum hammered paint is today.

Nice! Out of all the shopsmith colors I think I like that version best.

I think it's gorgeous, like the bench tubes better than painted ones.

You should be very proud of the acomplishment, as I'm sure you are!
