I was assembling a Miter Pro I had bought "new" off of eBay--it clearly had never been assembled before, but it was missing the stop block portion of the stop block assembly (Part #515936). I assume this is just a piece of hardwood with a 45 degree miter on one side, but does anybody have dimensions on this? I'd like to cut my own instead of shelling out $10 + shipping for the "official" replacement part.

I know it doesn't really matter for the measurements, I can wing it, but I like to look official.

If anybody has one and can measure for me, it would be much appreciated. Happy Friday!

A little late tonight to go in the shop but I do have one so I can go and measure it in the morning unless someone beats me to it.

I don't know how official this will be but here it is.

Thanks Dusty that saves me the time of finding mine and doing the measuring. I don't know why but I don't use it much so its filed away. Maybe if I had it out I would use it more.

Neither! It is common sense. Best wishes!

The actual dimensions are 3/4 x 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches, As seen in Dusty's drawing.

To me, the most important part of the block is the aluminum bracket in the back of the block. I is made from 1/8" aluminum and measures vertically, 2 3/8" to the inside of the bend, an 1 3/64" beneath the bend, 1 9/32" on top of the bend, It is 2 3/8" wide and has two flathead screws centered on that width. A very important feature of that bracket is the slot is the top of the bracket. The slot is 7/32" wide and 1 7/8" long. A square shoulder screw with a knob resides in the slot.

Thanks, Charles. Luckily I have the aluminum piece (and even the wood screws), just no block!

One thing I do occasionally is turn over the Aluminum to use the large side of the block as a cross cut stop. To do this, I detach the long arm of the miter pro and attach it to the miter gauge. A perfect fit!

I have one and has never been used. I don't think SS sell them any longer. I may use it eventually as it looks rigid enough.

They may not be selling them any more but they have not removed them from the online catalog. This is one of the problems with not having a paper catalog to distribute. People who might be customers don't know what is available. Browsing thru the paper from time to time filled that information gap.

While the information may be available via the web site, I find the web site difficult to negotiate. Example being the link in this post. I looked in the online catalog for "Miter Pro" and found nothing. I then searched, using the known part number and found it. A "might be" customer may not know the part number of the item he wants to buy. Viewing the "pictures" in the paper catalog does it all.
