A sad day for America

The State Department and the DOD have announced that they have decided to have an orderly departure of all military dependents from Turkey. Incirlik AFB in Turkey has allowed accompanied tours almost as long as I can remember. To me this is a BIG deal. Will you see this on your local news? Maybe but I doubt it will be anything but an obligatory blip. It is not an emergency but it is the DOD's response to the policies of our "leader". It is another result of Mr. Obama's failed (actually no) foreign policy.

I don't think we know enough about the situation overseas to be critical of this decision.

This news blurb sure doesn't do it.

"This step does not signify a permanent decision to end accompanied tours at these facilities. It is intended to mitigate the risk to DoD elements and personnel, including family members, while ensuring the combat effectiveness of U.S. forces and our mission support to operations in Turkey. "

We will have to wait and see...

ISIS will attack anyone. I for one would not want my family with me in such an area.

Particularly Americans. As I understand from people that were stationed at Incirlik it was a nice assignment. Certainly not any more.

I know a guy not far from the last bombing in Belgium and he says it is not a nice place now. Still a lot going on. I am sure there is alot going on with our soldiers and places where they are that is not said. I was on one of these in 1970 and nothing was said about it yet today on the net. I will say this it was not a nice place
