I am a maintenance guy but since last Oct taking care of mom and going on 64 in June, I have been doing nothing but on the web and surfing my wood workers and SS forums, except for 5 days every 2 months break home which I dont do too much because it gets lost in between times.
So, I got the youngen, 84 grayling yesterday, nephew is a turner on his greenie that I lube up for him, and I am sure mine needs it too. Please direct me to the site/thread on it. I pretty much remember the spring, inner sheave some place and the speed gear, but the pics would be nice.
Love, Mike

Drive gear, quill, speedchanger.
Oh, wait! You're probably talking about one of
those newfangled Shopsmiths, that has the motor
inside the headstock, and has LOTS of aluminium,
and NO Cast Iron.

I use Stickie Keys and I got a lap top with that key is screwed up, it hits both on shift, and too lazy to back space the abbreviation mark.
