Can't help myself, I have to show this one off! This is the first piece of furniture other than shelves or quilt racks that I've done and it came out great! You can actually sit on it without it breaking or exploding. True, I did use biscuits as opposed to mortise and tenon but you can't tell can you?
Got the plan from Wood magazine web site. The plan gives details for both biscuit and M&T construction. My wife helped me make the cushioned seat. Regular old stain and poly for a finish.
I also cheaped out and used regular Menard's red oak (it was on sale) as I wasn't sure how it would turn out and hated to waste real quarter-sawn white oak! Maybe the next one!
(Crappy cell phone photos too!)
