Questions about a Shopsmith ER

I got a 1950(?) shopsmith ER (serial 50948) from my grandfather. I don't know much about it so I was hoping that someone here knows the answers to my questions.
First is it from 1950?
Do I have everything?
Do you see anything wrong with it?
Does the 2nd motor go with the shopsmith?

Looks like the basics and a mortising attachment, maybe minus some things for it. I dont think the other motor is for the ER.

No apparent lathe centers. Current Mark V/7 centers are the same design.
Mortise attachment complete except for bits/chisels.
Second motor has the capacitor mounted 'on top' It needs to be side mounted.
Second miter gauge(on right in pix) is not SS.
Front table extension is an extra.
Allen wrenches?
Missing some screws.
Good condition.
Take good care of it!!!

That looks like a great foundation! Clean it up (search here for 10ER rebuild threads) and you should get all the info you will need to bring that old girl back to factory functionality. I own 2 of them and wouldn't trade for anything for either.
Count yourself lucky, they are great machines and many parts are interchangeable between later models as JPG alluded to.
JMHO
BTW, I place the manuf date sometime in 1951.

That motor "could" be used on the Model 10.
All you need to do, is either lift the headrest
and pivot base above the bench, with a few
sections of 2X6, or cut a relief in the gap between
the bench boards.
If you have a decent table saw, (Shopsmiths as
a rule are a weak table saw, and the Model 10
is the weakest!) just use the boards to lift it.
If you are more than 5 ft 8 inches tall, and want to use
your Model 10 as a lathe, DO THE LIFT!
(Oh, about me and the Model 10, I've currently
got 3, 2 brothers have 2 each, and 2 friends have
them.)

You have to apply and be approved to join, but it's free. May take a few days to get processed, but worth the effort.
Skip Campbell runs that and there are a bunch of folks there (many who are here too) that can help.
By the way, I am restoring the 10ER Owners Guide to improve overall legibility and I will post that in these forums when I am done. Should be in next few weeks.
